And that's just what I've learned this spring. I feel awful thinking so many places need more rain, but we certainly don't need any more here. I've been busy since December 21st. planting seeds using a method I wasn't familiar with, winter sowing. My sprouts could handle some sunshine and less rain, and in spite of my over-obsessing and checking daily, it would appear as if I can't make them grow any faster without sunshine and warmth. I've gone a little crazy in my planting frenzy, considering I have very little space to garden, but I'm happy to have shared some already and as soon as the rest grow a little, I'll be sharing a lot more.

I'll admit, the rain is doing wonders for the plants that survived winter. It's almost a miracle to step outside and see green here and there after a winter as cold as the one we had this year.

The "garden helpers" are still around, keeping robins (worm thieves) and squirrels at a safe distance. They don't really over-exert themselves, but expect their reward just the same.

Mis "jardineros peludos" están siempre cerca, manteniendo los petirrojos (ladrones de lombrices) y las ardillas a una distancia prudencial. No es que se cansen en el trabajo, pero esperan su sueldo de pienso y caprichitos lo mismo.
