Where Is Waldo? (Happy Halloween!)

From the time I was a little kid, I've always loved dressing up. Pity we didn't celebrate Halloween, though even without it, I didn't need a reason to play dress up. I've never cared much for candy, and being a shy kid, I probably would have had a hard time going door to door. Still, I do enjoy a costume and a good laugh about it.

Desde que era pequeña, siempre me ha gustado disfrazarme. Aunque no celebrabamos Halloween, nunca me faltó una razón para ponerme un disfraz de lo que fuera. Y no me gusta mucho el dulce, y posiblemente me hubiese dado verguenza ir de puerta en puerta pidiendo caramelos. Pero aún me gusta ponerme un disfraz y reirme yo sola cuando veo los resultados.

On the quilty side of things, I joined some blocks I had in a bag for a few years and it turned out I had enough for a lap sized quilt. I like the result, and I am presently quilting it in straight lines 1/2 inch apart, give or take. Nothing fancy, other than the binding on the edges when I get there. The pattern suggested to cut the uneven edges, but I couldn't bring myself to cutting anything, so two sides will have hexagonal edges.

Y en lo que tiene que ver con el quilting, uní unos bloques que tenía hechos desde hace unos años, y resultó un top de tamaño mantita de siesta. Me gusta como han quedado y ahora lo estoy acolchando en lineas rectas separadas una media pulgada. No es gran cosa, menos los bordes. El patrón sugería que se recortaran los bloques para que quedaran los cuatro lados rectos, pero no pude cortar lo que había cosido, asi que acabará teniendo dos lados con los bordes de forma irregular.
